<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Aubrey Strahan, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Geology Sectional Committee</dc:title>
<dc:description>At the direction of Sir A Geikie, Miss Stopes and D M S Watson's paper on 'the present Distribution and Origins of the Calcareous Concretions in Coal Seams Known as 'Coal Balls', is sent to Strahan with a view to obtaining an opinion on the Geological side of the paper. Mr R Kidston, botanical referee thinks the paper, with certain modifications, quite worthy of publication but expresses doubt as to whether the '[Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society]' should be the place for publication. In view of this Geikie suggests Dr D H Scott as a second botanical referee. </dc:description>
