<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr C I Forsyth Major, British Museum (Natural History)</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'My dear Sir,
In reply to your letter of yesterday, it is not customary for the Council to inform candidates that they have been selected for nomination to the [Royal] Society as Fellows, that step being only a preliminary one and requiring conformation by the election of the Society. It has however become a practise to communicate the list of names to the press. There will be submitted to the Society for election on May 7.'</dc:description>
