  <dc:description>In reference to several notices sent to Harrison and other staff, Harrison begs to remind the Surveyor of Taxes that all the taxes referred to in these notices are covered by the cheque drawn by the Royal Society and proffered on 27 January, but returned the following day on account of the question of which tax rate Harrison should be charged. The the cheque is still in Harrison's hands at the Surveyor of Taxes' service. The question of the tax rate has been referred to the Board of Inland Revenue at Somerset House.</dc:description>
