<dc:description>Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society paper by M C Stopes & Dr M S Watson "On the present distribution and origin of the calcaseous connections in coal seams known as coal balls" communicated by Mr J J H Teall, Fellow of the Royal Society. The above paper was recommended by the Botany Sectional Committee for publication subject to the omission of a section dealing with the comparison of scotch and foreign coal measures.
