<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Mitchison Hicks, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Physics and Chemistry Committee</dc:title>
<dc:description>[Hugh Frank] Newall has reported favourably on the paper by Geoffrey Duffield 'On the Effect of Pressure upon Arc Spectra. No 2 - Copper. 4000-4600', communicated by Professor [Ernest] Rutherford. Newall says it is a valuable paper in a difficult research, and advances previous work by Humphreys. Professor Joseph Larmor also states he is willing to report in favour of 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. In view of the author's early departure to Australia, Larmor has authorised the printing so that Duffield may have the proofs to correct before he sails. Asks if Hicks concurs.</dc:description>
