<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Major P [Percy Alexander] MacMahon, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Harrison finds that in the Royal Society collection there is a good many portraits of men of science, especially botanists, probably cut out of an illustrated book of R J Thorton's, 1799, from which Major Barnes' portraits also are not unlikely to be derived. If Major Barnes would be good enough to send Harrison a list of the portraits he has it could be compared with the Royal Society portfolio, and perhaps Harrison could make him an offer for any they do not posses.</dc:description>
