Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to [Messrs Harrison & Sons] 'Gentlemen, At the last meeting of the Council of the Royal Society a resolution was passed to the effect that from the beginning of the current volume of the Proceedings [of the Royal Society] both Series A and B, the edition printed shall not exceed 1250 until further notice. This small reduction will, I presume, be hardly likely to affect the terms of your contract with the Royal Society for the printing the Proceedings, but I shall be glad to have an assurance from you on this subject.' 28 January 1909
