Attilio Gabrielli, Velletri 'Dear Sir, I beg to thank you for your letter of the 2nd instant, enclosing the communication which has been sent to you from London, purporting to come from the Academy of Science. I am communicating with the Italian Embassy upon the subject in the belief that they may take an interest in investigating what appears to be a fraudulent attempt to obtain money, an, subject to any action the Embassy may think fit to take, I propose to place the matter in the hands of the police.
