<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Surveyor of Taxes</dc:title>
<dc:description>In filling up the schedule of salaries and pensions, income tax on which is paid by the Royal Society, Rix entered Mr Walter White's pension at £350, and assuming that his private income raised the total to £400, Rix did not claim abatement on White's behalf. White has since informed Rix that his total income is less than £400 and that he is entitled to abatement. Rix asks the Surveyor what action he should take and encloses the demand note for £8-15-0 for guidance.</dc:description>
