<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Archibald Geikie, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix supposes Geikie has the matter of the Montpellier University in charge. He seeds from Dr [Michael] Foster's notes that it was left to the President to nominate a delegate but he thinks the President will need to be reminded. There is also a minute that the Foreign Secretary was directed to reply in suitable terms to an invitation from the Société Impériale Minéralogique à St. Pétersbourg. Rix encloses the letter concerning which the minute was passed [not attached].</dc:description>
