<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir George Gabriel Stokes</dc:title>
<dc:description>Professor Flower desires to know whether Archdeacon Harper, a person of some eminence in the Colony, who is in England from New Zealand may be invited to the Soirée. Professor G Stuart, Curator of the Hunterian museum and the newly elected President of the Linnean Society asked Mr Harting whether he had not been omitted by mistake. Mr Killingworth who gave a troublesome and expensive exhibit at the May Soirée would be glad of a card. Sir Lyon Playfair asked Sir H Roscoe to ask for a card for F Bartlett of Boston who is connected with Harvard College and is staying for a short time at the Albermarle Hotel. Rix also encloses a letter asking for a ticket for R B Sharpe [not attached].</dc:description>
