Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Monsieur Alfred Daviel, 15 Rue de Socrate, Rouen Rix regrets that they cannot undertake the task Daviel proposed in his note of 11 July. Volume 49 of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' is now out of print and to make a copy by hand of the communication in question is more than their small staff could undertake. The memoir extends to several pages. Daviel could however send a copyist to the Society and he could copy the memoir of M Daviel and the entry in the journal recording his election. 14 July 1890
