<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Monsieur Alfred Daviel, 15 Rue de Socrate, Rouen</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix regrets that they cannot undertake the task Daviel proposed in his note of 11 July. Volume 49 of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' is now out of print and to make a copy by hand of the communication in question is more than their small staff could undertake. The memoir extends to several pages. Daviel could however send a copyist to the Society and he could copy the memoir of M Daviel and the entry in the journal recording his election.</dc:description>
