  <dc:description>Rix has returned from his holidays to find Gamgee's letter and cheque. He sends a receipt for the cheque and is glad to hear Gamgee has recovered from his illness. Now that he is recovered Rix asks for the return of library items which Gamgee has borrowed including parts of the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' and Priestley's 'History of Electricity'. </dc:description>
