Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Miss Dora Schmitz, 53 Gloucester Road, N.W. Rix writes to say that the engagement provisionally made by the Treasurer [John Evans] yesterday afternoon was confirmed by the Catalogue Committee. The understanding is that Schmitz will be paid quarterly at the rate of £70 for the fist year, with a months notice either side before termination of the engagement. 24 October 1890
