With regard to Dr Cushman's request for a copy of the Foraminifera volume of the Challenger Reports, I obtained authority to requisition it from the Stationery Officer, but find from their statement of stock that this volume is exhausted. I have written to Dr Cushman to tell him this and to express regret suggesting that the only resource now would seem to be a second-hand bookseller.' 28 June 1909
