<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Lord Rayleigh OM, FRS</dc:title>
  <dc:description>'My Lord,
I have been compelled by stress of Council and Committee business to defer till to-day a reply to your card of Wednesday. You paper on "Perception of Direction of Sound" was duly received here and is going forward for publication in the Proceedings [of the Royal Society], and I am sorry to learn that no acknowledgment has reached you. I am assured by the clerk who attends to these acknowledgment that one was made out for this paper and I fear it must has miscarried by some accident. I regret that you should have been left in doubt.'</dc:description>
