Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr [Henry] Woodward, Fellow of the Royal Society The result of the Hudlestone portrait is not satisfactory. The printers should not have sent it out in that condition without warning. Something better must be got for 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. The trouble is with the unsuitability of the paper for this class of engraving. The engraver suggests trying a 'courser screen' block. On the paper usually used that will probably give a better a result. Requests the original photograph back, to make a second attempt. 12 November 1909
