<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir William Henry Mahoney Christie, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Sir Joseph Larmor has asked Harrison to write regarding a meeting of the Observatories Committee. There is a good deal of formal business to transact, but the principal item on the agenda would be to suggest to the Government of India that leave of absence be given to [George Clarke] Simpson, Assistant to the Director of Observatories, to enable him to accompany Captain [Robert Falcon] Scott on his proposed South Pole expedition. The most convenient date appears to be 19 January.</dc:description>
