<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Ernest William Hobson, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>The paper by C J T Sewell on 'The Extinction of Sound in Viscous Atmosphere by Small Obstacles of Cylindrical and Spherical Form' has been reported on favourably by Lord Rayleigh and Sir Joseph Larmor for publication in 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. The manuscript, at Larmor's suggestion, has been edited by the author with a view to simplify the mathematical notation. Requests Hobson to say whether he concurs with the decision to print the paper.</dc:description>
