<dc:title>Copy letter from A [Alfred] H [Hastings] White to Sir Joseph Larmor, Sec RS </dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
In reply to your enquiry I enclose a list of references to certain Maclaurin papers. These are all before 1745, we find none later. We have taken these from Sir Arthur Chuch's MS [Manuscript]. The first two of the papers quoted appear not to have been printed in the Phil[osophical] Trans[actions of the Royal Society]. The other three are printed as per reference.
In the series of Original Letters there are 9 entries under Maclaurin's name, a note of which is also enclosed. These are earlier still. Maclaurin died in 1745.
The Folkes letter, we have been told, are in the possession of Sir William H Browne-Ffolkes, Hillington Hall, Norfolk.'</dc:description>
