<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Professor G [George] D [Downing] Liveing FRS </dc:title>
  <dc:description>'Dear Professor Liveing,
In sending you the enclosed paper by Miss Homfray for opinion, together with Sir William Ramsay's covering letter, I am desired by Sir Joseph Larmor to suggest that the paper seems to have been used as a London University Dissertation, and in such cases the Committee is expected to exercise care in recommending papers for publication.
I am further to point out that the paper by Mr McBain, referred to on page 37 (numbered 105) of Miss Homfray's MS [manuscript] was communicated to the Royal Society, but afterwards withdrawn on account of a request from us for condensation.' [no enclosure]</dc:description>
