<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to J W Gifford, Oaklands, Chard, Somerset</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
Referring to your letter of April 27, the subscriptions to the Proceedings [of the Royal Society] from Members of the Physical Society are kindly collected for us and forwarded by Mr W R Cooper, the Secretary of the Physical Society.
We have sent your cheque to him for endorsement and return, and have instructed our printers to resume sending Proceedings for the current year.
I regret the trouble you have experienced in the matter. Messrs Harrison & Sons would not know the name of Mr Cooper, it is true , but they should at least have communicated with is before returning your cheque.'</dc:description>
