<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to The Director, Vatican Observatory, Rome</dc:title>
<dc:description>'Referring to your letter of March 11th, in view of the fact that the Vatican Observatory has a complete set of the early volumes of the [Philosophical] Transactions [of the Royal Society], the Society would be pleased to present the continuation volumes (unbound_ of the Transactions for the period 1848-1874, these copies being now out of demand for sale purposes.
Further, we are prepared to supply cloth copies of any of the Transactions from 1875 to 1890 at on-third the published price of each part.
I shall be glad to learn what view you take of this proposal.'</dc:description>
