<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Chairman of the Zoology Section Committee [Sidney Frederick Harmer]</dc:title>
<dc:description> 'Paper by S M Jacob, ICS. Communicated by Prof Karl Pearson, FRS [Fellow of the Royal Society]. "Inbreeding in a simple mandelian stable population, with special reference to cousin marriage".
The paper has been referred to Major McMahon, who reports on it as follows:-
"I have made no attempts to verify the whole of the mathematical formulae devised from [?] work of Prof Pearson, but they are for the most part clearly [?]. I cannot measure the applications made of the formulae in the problem of inbreeding except in some trivial areas but I think the Society may with safety publish the eye of Prof Pearson and no one as competent as be to judge such a matter".
Will you please minute further actions to be taken in regard to the paper?
The paper is estimate to occupy 24 pages of Proceedings [of the Royal Society] and to cost £4 for printing.'</dc:description>
