Dr Schuster has reported upon this paper as for Phil[osophical] Trans[actions of the Royal Society]: his report is entirely favourable. To whom shall the paper be sent as 2nd referee? One cannot ask the Chairman P C [?] he is the author of the paper, nor does it seem desirable to ask Dr Schuster, as future Chairman of the Cttee since he has reported on the paper himself.' 21 December 1911
