Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Surgeon General G F H Evatt CB 'Replying to your card of enquiry, the date of the paper by the [Real] Samuel Evatt to which you refer is 1762: it is published in the Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society] B Vol 52, page 544, & is accompanied by an illustration plate. It was communicated to the Society by Benjamin Franklin. Mr Evatt was not a Fellow of the Society, so we have no information about him, other than that [?] above.' 26 January 1912
