<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr W [William] McDougall FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>'I have to acknowledge your letter of the 6th enclosing a cheque for £14 to cover the admission fee and one year's subscription to the Society.
You will observe on reading the whole of the Statute in Chapter 3 (1) that a fund exists for the purpose of [relieving] Ordinary Fellows of the admission fee and of one pound of the annual contribution, so that you are not under an obligation to pay more than £3 annual subscription, the balance being met out of the special fund referred to. In these circumstances I hold your cheque for the present in case you wish it returned.'</dc:description>
