Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr William Napier Shaw, Fellow of the Royal Society There is a letter from the Office of Woods relating to the erection of an anemometer etc, at Kew. Presumes this will be dealt with in the course of Shaw's report to the Gassiot Committee, and needs not be added to the Agenda. Harrison is putting down the matter of the proposed stoppage of magnetic observations at Falmouth Observatory. A letter making this announcement has been before the Council, but it has been left so far without any action being taken. The copies of the Report on Eskdalemuir which Shaw sent were not suffcient to go around the whole Committee, and so have not been sent to Charles Chree, G T Walker, and GW Walker or John Rose Bradford, as they have presumably all seen it.
