Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Edward Alfred Minchin, Fellow of the Royal Society Asks for his opinion on the enclosed specimens of reproduction of the drawings of trypanosomes for Miss [Muriel] Robertson's paper. It has been suggested that a direct photographic process might give a sufficiently good result at less than half the cost of lithography, so Harrison has had these two figures done as a specimen. Also sending the originals [no enclosures]. Would like to know whether in Minchin's opinion the reproductions show all that the drawings are meant to convey. If not, there is a cheaper collotype process, but it is uncertain whether it would give much better results for this class of work that the half tone blocks. 12 November 1912
