<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to A W Kappel, Linnean Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>'Thank you for your note. I was not aware of the note from Mr Bourne in Mr White's hands when I wrote to you, but now that I have seen it, it hardly complies with the requirements of a regular authority for lending books, and there is nothing on the face of it to show that it is addressed to the Royal Society at all.
I do not want to be obstructive, and will authorise the lending of the book Mr Bury wants on the strength of this for the present; but if he wants to go on using this library I think he should obtain a formal request, in some such form as the enclose, from a Fellow, and have it registered here; and that he should make personal or written application to me, as Librarian, when he wants to take a book out.'</dc:description>
