Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr W [William] N [Napier] Shaw FRS 'This morning I received the enclosed from a potential candidate for Eskdalemuir, and I have told him that I am not in a position to answer his questions definitely; the first of which I take to mean whether or not the Superintendent is expected to conduct laboratory research there.
