Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison to Dr A [Arthur] Harden FRS 'I am instructed by the Chairman of the Sectional Committee to say that the paper by C Weizmann and A Hopwood which you recently communicated to the Society, has been under consideration and has been favourably reported upon; but I am to point out that the preliminary note bearing on this subject has already been published by the Chemical Society, and that the work has been aided by a grant from the Research Fund of that Society. In these circumstances I am to ask whether it would not be more appropriate to submit the paper for the publication by the Chemical Society rather than by the Royal Society.' 18 April 1913
