Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Sir Francis Darwin, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Botany Sectional Committee The paper by Dr R R Gates on 'Breeding experiments which show that hybridisation and mutation are independent phenomena' was referred to Professor Punnett and Professor Keeble. The former cannot report on it, and it was sent to Keeble as the first referee. He is totally against publication. Asks Darwin to say whom the paper should be sent to for a second report. 16 June 1913
