<dc:title>Copy letter from John Rose Bradford, to Dr George Walker Walker, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>According to the Government Grant books the instruments used in the Rucker and Thorpe Survey are Magnetometer number 73 and Dip Circle number 99. These instruments are, Bradford believes, deposited at the National Physical Laboratory and he has requested the Director send them to Walker. From the report of the survey in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' it would appear that Magnetometer number 60 and Dip Circle number 74 were used, but Bradford is unable to trace these instruments.</dc:description>
