<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir William Thomson, President of the Royal Society</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Dear Sir,
Your address, ready for press, is duly to hand. It was published in "Nature" a week ago, & the corrections will therefore be of no use to that paper. They shall be embodied in our "Proceedings" ['Proceedings of the Royal Society']. The Prince of Wales is Vice Patron of the R.I [Royal Institution] & I have made this alteration to the proof. The 'Proceedings' are now quite at a standstill, & have been for two or three days, for want of the final proof of your paper which was read on the 26th Novr [November].
Yours truly
Herbert Rix
Asst Sec RS [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'.</dc:description>
