<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to [John William Strutt] Lord Rayleigh, [Royal Society]</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'My Lord,
Prof Adams's MS. [manuscript] has come back from Prof. Schuster [Professor Arthur Schuster] together with Prof Schuster's original report upon it and Prof Adams's answer thereto, both of which went on loan with the MS. Nothing fresh has come from Prof Schuster, & I am not clear at what stage the MS. now stands & shall therefore await further instructions. Prof Adams called here while the MS. was away, in order to make some alterations in the tables. Am I to let him do this?
Yours truly
Herbert Rix
