  <dc:description>Rix reports that the Naval Attaché of the French Embassy called, and communicated that although the Depot de la Marine are willing to transfer the grant of their charts to the Bodleian Library, Oxford, they first wish to be assurred that the Royal Society's grant of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' will be continued, as the Bodleian publish nothing of use to them. He told them that he need to consult with his chiefs, and asks Foster what his answer should be.

Rix also encloses Professor Edward Albert Schafer's answer regarding [Charles Smart] Roy and [John George] Adami.</dc:description>
