Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Francis Galton, Fellow of the Royal Society, Chairman of the Kew Committee In response to Galton's letter of 9 April, requesting a loan of 200 pounds on behalf of the Kew Committee, to enable them to add a storey to a wing of the Observatory, Foster is able to inform him that a resolution was passed at a recent meeting of the President and Council of the Royal Society to advance the sum for the proposed extension, to be repaid in installments. 7 May 1891
