<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Silvanus Phillips Thompson, [Fellow of the Royal Society]</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Dear Prof Thompson,
The enclosed is the answer that I am instructed to send to all applications for tickets. You, as an exhibitor, would have some claim over & above that of the other Fellows, & I shall mention your suggestions to the Officers, but I cannot give any hope that invitations will be sent, unless it be to Herkomer on the grounds that he is painting the portrait of our late President. We expect to be very overcrowded.
Yours truly
Herbert Rix
