In answer to your letter of the 1st inst. [instant], which arrived during my absence from town, I have now the honour to inform you that I am in attendance at this Office from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day except Saturday, and that I shall be prepared to deliver the standard yard and pound, the key of which has been committed by the Officers to my care, to any properly authorised officer who may be deputed for that purpose by the Standard Department.
