Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir Lyon Playfair, [Fellow of the Royal Society] 'Dear Sir Lyon, I enclose a draft letter which I propose to have copied & circulated among the FRS's [Fellows of the Royal Society] whom Sir Henry Roscoe is selecting from the list. I have submitted the draft letter to Sir Henry. He is inclined to think that it should be signed by yourself as Chairman, & wishes me to consult you upon that point.
