<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Sir Lyon Playfair, [Fellow of the Royal Society]</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Dear Sir Lyon,
I enclose a draft letter which I propose to have copied & circulated among the FRS's [Fellows of the Royal Society] whom Sir Henry Roscoe is selecting from the list. I have submitted the draft letter to Sir Henry. He is inclined to think that it should be signed by yourself as Chairman, & wishes me to consult you upon that point. If so, am I to send to you to sign, or is your name to be written by the copyist?
Yours truly
Herbert Rix
Asst Sec R.S. [Assistant Secretary, Royal Society]'. </dc:description>
