Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to John Dewrance Council this summer made the following allocation to scientific research by means of the donation which Dewrance was good enough to place in the hands of the Royal Society: £200 towards the cost of completing the new Magnetic Survey of the British Isles now in progress under the direction of a joint Committee of the Royal Society and the British Association. 9 July 1914
