<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr [William Napier] Shaw, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Sending a cheque for £154.1.6, the interest for six months on Italian Irrigation Bonds in hand, and payable to the Meteorological Office. In view of the reduced amount of interest, in the early part of the year a number of Bonds were drawn, as hitherto, but Messrs Robarts, Lubbock & Company reported that they were unable to reinvest the proceeds in the purchase of other Italian Irrigation Bonds, none being in the market. Lately, however, a small purchase has been effected, and pending further purchases, the capital in hand has been placed by the Treasurer on deposit.</dc:description>
