<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Professor Alfred William Porter FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>'The paper by Mr B A Keen on "The evaporation of water from soil" has been under consideration, and I am directed to call your attention to the fact that Mr Keen has just published in the Journal of Agricultural Science a paper dealing with the same experimental material, also entitled "The evaporation of water from soil", which appears to be only a rewriting of the paper now presented to the Society. I am directed to ask if there is any specific point in the paper to distinguish it from the printed paper which would justify the Royal Society in publishing it.'</dc:description>
