Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Professor Alfred William Porter FRS 'The paper by Mr B A Keen on "The evaporation of water from soil" has been under consideration, and I am directed to call your attention to the fact that Mr Keen has just published in the Journal of Agricultural Science a paper dealing with the same experimental material, also entitled "The evaporation of water from soil", which appears to be only a rewriting of the paper now presented to the Society. I am directed to ask if there is any specific point in the paper to distinguish it from the printed paper which would justify the Royal Society in publishing it.' 15 January 1915
