<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Messrs Harrison and Sons</dc:title>
<dc:description>'I am much obliged by your note of yesterday suggesting a subscription price for the Philosophical Transactions, but I cannot see that a system which is applicable to the Proceedings can be applied to the Transactions, which come out at such irregular intervals that the volumes made up could not be relied upon to appear at all at fixed dates. It seems moreover peculiarly inappropriate to advertise the sale of Philosophical Transactions in volumes, when the Council has only lately decided that the official issue of this publication is that in separate papers.</dc:description>
