<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to the Secretary, Board of Agriculture</dc:title>
<dc:description>'Adverting to recent correspondence on the subject of the investigation of Swine Fever I am directed to inform you that arrangements are now almost completed for carrying out the proposed researches at the Lister Institute station at Elstree, at any rate for the present.
A certain amount of preliminary expenditure is therefore necessary and I am to ask if you can be good enough to arrange for a payment on account of the sum voted for this purpose in the Estimates of the current financial year, as mentioned in your letter of March 18 (A 16985/1915). It is estimated that a sum of £1200 would suffice for the expenses contemplated during about four months from the beginning of the current financial year, and the Committee charges with the investigation above-name will be much obliged if that amount can be paid to the Royal Society to be accounted for by the Treasurer of the Society.'</dc:description>
