<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Professor Professor Edmund Taylor Whittaker FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>'I regret to say we do not trace any series of MSS of Colin MacLaurin's among our Archives.
It seemed likely we might have such, as we have a collection of Brook Taylor's, his contemporary, but we don't find any papers or notes printed in the Phil[osophical] Trans[actions], but I think that is not quite what you wanted.
I should think it might be advisable to enquire at the British Museum, whether a number of Royal Society XVIIIth century papers gravitated, especially among the Sloane and Birch MSS.
There are also the Ffolkes papers, but they are not at the Museum.'</dc:description>
