<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to Professor William Maddock Balyiss FRS</dc:title>
<dc:description>'I think you must have misunderstood the object of the card sent to you with reference to the long paper in four parts by T Lewis on "The spread of the excitatory process on the vertebrate heart".
You state on the returned card that the paper is for Phil[osophical] Trans[actions] and should be referred to the Committee. Before the paper goes to the Committee, however, it would be advisable to have reports from two referees and I shall be glad if you will nominate two Fellows to whom the paper should be sent. It may be helpful to you to know that a similar paper by Lewis and Rothschild was referred to Dr F G Hopkins and Professor Cushny last year.'</dc:description>
