Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Francis William Aston Esquire; Farnborough Informs Francis William Aston Esquire that his case will be laid out before the Committee which has been appointed to deal with cases arising out of the regulation of the Board of Trade. However, also suggests that Mr. Aston's occupation, in the Royal Aircraft Factory in the production of instruments of war, seems clearly to fall within the list of Reserved Occupations which exempt anyone engaged in them from immediate enlistment or calling up for service. 11 January 1916
