<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society; to Dr Garnett</dc:title>
<dc:description>Regarding a manuscript notice of Sir Joseph [Wilson] Swan, FRS, sent by Dr Eccles, with which Dr Garnett was involved. Advises as Dr Eccles is not a Fellow of the Royal Society he does not have standing to put forward the notice, which was originally entrusted to Silvanus [Phillips] Thompson , FRS. Advises the best way to proceed 'in compliance with custom, but without undue officialism' is if Dr Garnett can think of a Fellow who knows Sir Joseph Swan well who could father the notice. </dc:description>
